Abstract The outcome of this study is to improve and enhance the power quality hybrid DC/AC microgrid (MG). photovoltaic (PV) system proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) are used as renewable energy sources deliver optimum active utility grid. MG based on PV system, PEMFC voltage source inverter modelled mathematically. Also, maximum point tracking (MPPT)-based grey wolf optimization (GWO) increase module efficiency performance. performance, a digital proportional-integral controller control circuit. proposed controlled using synchronous reference frame theory, called direct-quadrature (dq) method. Hence, performance tested MATLAB® for various weather loading conditions. From simulation results, can absorb an characteristics. As result, enhanced in terms stabilization DC-bus voltage. improved GWO MPPT. Finally, good results achieved total harmonic distortion output current 2.3% higher 98.9%.
